I don't know the name. It followed a platoon of infantry across France. The PL had no radio, he was followed everywhere by a wire dog.
The most memorable scenes involved one member of the platoon, who was what at the time was called a "physical culture nut", i.e., body builder/health food, etc. In the first scene, he's irate because someone in the rear rifled his mail, and stole the carob., (Bleh!) In the second, some Frenchwoman wants to reward him for liberating her village, and kisses him. He goes nuts at the thought of where had her mouth been...
