16.2 % Unemployment

There are at least six different government measures of 'unemployment', all heavily massaged and politically deformed. I follow the most accurate of these, the 'U-6', as being closest to reality. That's another way of saying least dishonest.

"U-6: Total unemployed, plus all persons marginally attached to the labor force, plus total employed part time for economic reasons, as a percent of the civilian labor force plus all persons marginally attached to the labor force"


January 2012 = 16.2%

Kinda like the Consumer Price Index that doesn't include Energy or Food, cuz, y'know, those prices go up and down too much.
