Sound washes like waves...

It's remarkable how relaxing and recharging an evening at the pub can be. Pitchers of beer, plates of food, shoals of smoke in the air, and music washing over the room like waves crashing on a beach.

Individual sounds so often lost in the buzz, to hearing as abused as mine, yet they all add up to the sound of peace and.... tribe.

Not everyone needs that, but more and more I find its exactly the answer for life's stress and turmoil.

Yep, it IS a good place to 'get lost' and just relax, as long as it doesn't become all day/every day...

Too right sir, and I am mindful of that.

So far in this lifetime, I have some sort of built in limiting factor towards such life. A few hours, once a week or so, can be a joy. More than that and I am ready to leave. Even last night, as much as I enjoyed the time, I was first out the door and breathing fresh air for twenty minutes before princess appeared.

I see the hims and hers who warm their near permanent spots at the bar... and I gives thanks I am not they.
