Garand ammo pouches, with a Molle twist...

Thanks to friend Brian, who pointed me towards Sipsey Street Irregulars and a post they had up about this.

It seems that modern Molle grenade pouches, exactly like these at Amazon: 3 Military Surplus ACU MOLLE II Hand Grenade Pouch, make wonderful Garand clip pouches. They hold two loaded eight round en-bloc clips in each pouch, and being Molle they can be attached to just about anything. Be it a load bearing vest, a belt, a backpack... you name it.

As for me... I'm a fat old school teacher from Pennsylvania. I'm not likely to be humping any boonies with a LBV and a Garand anytime in the foreseeable future (Which grows shorter every day for me). On the other hand, these things are the cats meow to hang on my range bag for easy access, or on my belt as an ammo holder during a match. They also fit the shoulder strap on my Maxpedition carry bag just perfectly, which places them across my chest for easy access.

Yet another reason to visit Sipsey Street regularly, in addition to it being the go-to place (along with David Codrea's War On Guns blog) for Fast & Furious news.
