DEAL ALERT: Gerber tool on sale, deeply discounted.....

Gerber 30-000016 Crucial Tool, Gray (On sale at $24 with free shipping)

I bought one of these a while back, just to try it out as a working tool.

Well, the belt clip failed the first day, and is a raging piece of crap. Luckily, it comes off with two screws and makes a nice 'tink' sound as it's thrown into the trash can in a fit of disgust.

That said, the tool is FINE for pocket carry, without the communist East German inspired piece of crap pocket clip. My Gerber Crucial multi tool has evolved into a unit I carry in a cup holder of my car. I grab it when I need it, and then it resides in my pocket the rest of the work day.

I run an automotive business right now... and when I use a tool, I USE IT. The Gerber (Minus teh sucky pocket clip) manages to keep up.

Yep, tools that 'work' are keepers! I'll go take a look at it, thanks.

I was all set to order one for the range bag, when I recalled I already have a Gerber belt tool in there.
