My wife has one and loves it. She has it synced to her phone, and is connected with several of her friends that use it too. She says its pretty accurate on her steps taken but sometimes it shows her going up stairs when she's not.
It took a washing and drying and is still working so its pretty tough also.

I'm using something similar, the Nike Fuelband.

I do not know how accurate it is, but they updated the firmware about four to six weeks ago that dramatically lowered the measurement of "exercise" I showed in a day.

But I'm pretty sedentary; working at a desk and not really doing any exercise per se.

When I first got it, I was checking it multiple times per day, and when my exercise level was down I would think "time to get off my lazy butt and walk around the campus" and do so.

Now, I pretty much only check it when I go to bed, to see how much "exercise" I got that day.

It can be a good prompt to get you off your butt and do something, if you monitor it.

If you don't monitor it...

Think I shall try it. I'm not actively dieting or exercising, but perhaps a better idea of my activity levels would be a good thing.

My wife has one and mine is in order. Nothing new to say that hasn't been said above. With 5 kids, 2 of which are 8 month old twins my workout time is kinda slack right now. But knowing what my activity levels and calorie intake are will help a bit. Also as the babies get a little older working out time should be a little better.
