Sunday morning food porn....



The blackberry sauce makes it.....

A pint of blackberries, fresh or frozen.  Two cups of blackberry wine. Half a stick of butter. Two tablespoons of honey.  Cinnamon and nutmeg to taste.

Simmer for an hour or so, stirring and smashing the berries occasionally.  Allow to reduce by half.  Thicken with a smidge of cornstarch if desired (I do).

I forget the syrup when there is a berry sauce such as this.
