On my tired drive home last night, a police officer pulled up next to me at a light.

"Sir! I am showing your registration as expired" she said.
Me: "Really? Well, it is the the first... I'll renew it as soon as I get home then. Thank you!".

At the next light, me: "That was very thoughtful. Thank you for letting me know!"

Her: "It shows here as expired in August of 2019....."

Me: "Wow.... Okay..... thank you even more then!".

I wonder if this is happening more, since the Commonwealth of PA no longer supplies the registration cards they require us by law to have with us? I would not be shocked if quite a few people are like me, and seldom interact with their vehicle registration aside from state inspections and renewals. Yes, I used to rely on seeing that date sticker on my registration plate.... which the state now refuses to provide.

I suspect our officers may have decided pretty quickly they have better things to do than deal with petty issues created by unthinking corruptocrats.

In any case, it's now renewed and I paid the fee to the state.
