Flupocolyspe, day 6.3
Quick run to the pharmacy to fill scrips, and a couple local back country grocery/fruit kind of places.
Drug vendor..... man, that clerk looks exhausted. The place wasn't packed while I was there, but clearly had been steady. I suspect the poor woman just isn't sleeping. The pharmacist on duty was doing fine. Note: She said they hadn't seen a thermometer in a week.
Fruit place, and little Amish grocery store.... busy, but doing well. People are maintaining distance without rancor, and nobody seems crazy at all. Everyone I talked to is impacted heavily, but they are soldiering on.
I'm stuck home, which means I CAN COOK! When herself drags in this evening, strips on the back porch, and gets showered, she will be faced with a fine, fine dinner.
Braised beef roast, garlic bacon mashed potatoes, and braised carrots. Gravy of course, and fresh rustic bread.
On the counter, I put together a sourdough starter, since I bought a sack of AP flour today. Sourdough pancakes for breakfast tomorrow, and sourdough bread will be coming. Baking bread will save running out to buy it, and that means less exposure.
