What happens when enough people reach the point of No?
There are an awful lot of agendas out there. People, groups of people, with goals in mind. Many are maneuvering in various and sundry ways to achieve their goals.
I suppose many of these people, grouped or not, could be split into two categories....
- 1) Those who have ideas, agendas, goals, plans..... for what they will have other people do.
- 2) Those whose only goal is to be left alone to live their lives as they see fit
The people in the first category, they do tend to group up. Being in a group validates their goals, their ideas, and maybe even their passions. They feel right, because the people around them, their chosen tribe if you will, are supporting them. The herd agrees, so it must be right.
Cat1 folks want to tell other people what to do. How to live. What to think. How to behave. These things are primary to their ideas and goals. They can't achieve whatever it is they want to achieve until everyone does what they are told.
Cat2 folks..... just want to be left alone.
You can generally figure out which is which by who is doing the knocking. Cat2 people don't go to the doors of Cat1 folks and demand they do..... well.... anything.
Cat1 people.... they are the ones doing the knocking. They are the ones who come in groups, with paperwork, in uniforms, and under it all is the threat of force. Force is always at the bottom of the Cat1 ladder, because without some threat of violence the Cat2 people won't pay attention to them.
More than anything else in the world, Cat1 people want to tell other people how to live their lives.
Well, what happens when all those Cat2 people get into the habit of saying No.... and are willing to stand behind the word?
