Refershingly tasty

The bourbon is not just low, it's on the last bottle. Moderation in all things, correct?  So that bottle of Bookers can rest easy for a while.

This evenings sippage is deceptively easy. It's the quality of the ingredients that makes it, I think.

It starts with a couple ice cubes, made with bottled mineral water.  Slice a sweet orange into quarters, and squeeze one of them over the ice. Drop in the remains.  Pour over enough straight Stateside Vodka to make it go three fingers..(I have gorilla paws).

That's it.  Let it rest a few minutes, and begin sipping.  Voila!

Really quite easy tasting.  Surprisingly light, flavorful without being overpowering (if you drink straight spirits), and satisfying.

I doubt it would work with a lesser vodka made for mixing, but who knows.  When this bottle runs out, I may try that path myself.
