I feel sorry for that man....

I'm not saying I support him... or voted for him.... or would even allow him to enter my home.

I'm just saying there is a part of me that's still a reasonably decent human being, and I feel sorry for that man today.

Today he is sworn in as President of the United States.   Joining him are 25,000 disarmed and untrusted members of the national guard who have been ordered to leave their families and go to Washington, there to stand in the cold, and sleep on the stone floor. Treated with less regard than they do their own pets back home, it's a safe bet not one of them less than command level is willingly there. If that.

Also joining Joe are some 2000 members of the press, all paid to be there, and all of them hoping with all their hearts that Joe strokes out after the oath in a place they can watch and report on.

In addition, another few hundred clingons, party faithful, and fellow power gropers.

All of the people there with Joe Biden share something in common.  They couldn't care less about the man, have no faith in him to do the job, and very few expect him to survive it to retirement.  It's a job that ages people beyond reason, and he walks in with a failing intellect and one foot in the nursing home.

No matter what kind of low dog you might consider creepy uncle Joe to be, that's a sad.... sad.... place to be right now.

Even worse, he probably doesn't have sense enough left to know it.

Damn.
