45-70 box O boom....

I just finished the first 20 rounds for the brand new used 1885 rifle I found.

300 Grain gas checked cast lead, over 44 grains of IMR 3031.

The goal here is to fire form the virgin brass to their new chamber home, while also seeing if the rifle will do anything decent with these bullets.

I did not slug the bore or mic the bullets, so much chance is at play.  Also, 300 grains is on the light side for this 1:20 45-70 rifle.

They do seem rather large in Herself's hand, and she used a few choice words in describing them.
