There is another factor to consider...

On Tuesday the heads of three major universities were called to answer questions before Congress.  When asked if the call for genocide violated their school's speech codes, all three offered befuddled and evasive answers.  This is now being widely lambasted and has been translated into calls for their resignation in shame.

Having watched their performance under questioning, I offer another factor for consideration.   Observing their eye rolls, sniveling smirks, and obvious disdain for the questioners... it's possible their responses were built more from arrogance than from bigotry.

Yes, they clearly have a hard bias against Jews and the existence of Israel, but there is something more overreaching.  It's the manifestation of their obvious superiority in all things, and the absurdity that they would be expected to answer to mere 'government' peons.  Even more ludicrous, that Republicans, of all creatures, would dare question their actions.

Every eye roll revealed hubris, and every smirk highlighted their lofty arrogance.   'Jews?  Jews be damned.  How DARE you question our super superior superiority, you peasant! Our very lowest and basest utterances carry the holy writ of perfection!'

That was my takeaway from their performance.  Yes, I agree they should be tossed from their incredibly overpaid positions with all due speed and rudeness.  They have earned that, at the very least.  If not for their willful bigotry, then for their hubris and arrogance.
