First, it was homemade muscle cars.
Next came jacked up 4x4s.
Then came legit sports cars.
After that, Hot rods and rat rods.
Then it was autocross stuff.
Then factory muscle.
Then it was Jeeps.
Now it's small boats for fishing.
I tell you these things not to say they each had their time as a fab, but to say something else. These interests were everywhere, all the same time, and still are. All of them, all the time, somewhere and for someone.
What is the list? It's which of these was catching my interest at that time. It's a not a list of what the real world was doing, but a list of what I was paying attention to.
Some folks think their perspective is the only perspective, and their interests and thoughts ARE the reality of the day. This is a painful and destructive fallacy, for both the individual and society.
Step back, open your eyes, and see. The world is bigger than we tend to perceive.
