I bombed breakfast sandwiches. Bacon would not crisp, eggs stuck like I glued them to the pan, rolls would not fit the toaster right. Breakfast sandwiches, for %$#@ sake.
Yesterday my bread glued itself to the Dutch oven. Total loss. Chicken food.
A couple days ago everything about my super-duper cheeseburger meal went south.
Should I really be thinking of doing low/slow ribs in a week when the universe has a crank for me?
I suppose. 5-6 hours over low charcoal. A packet of soaked applewood chips to give a hint of the smoke. I'll spend some time 'watching over' the grill I think.
- 1 each Shallot and Jalapeno, sautéed
- Flesh of 2 mangos, sauteed
- 3 tbs Mirin
- 3 tbs Red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 tbs Calabrian chili sauce
- 1 tsp Powdered ginger
- 1 tbs Roast garlic
- 3 tbs Molasses
- 1 tsp Black pepper
Combine all in sauce pan and cook together on medium about 20 minutes, stirring every few minutes. Blend with a stick blender till smooth and thick.
