Question...
How does one learn to write, and write well?

Writing well is, unfortunately, a lot like golf. Some folks just never get the hang of it regardless of the effort expended, while some others can manage a fair job of self expression ( a good many can express a logical account of an experience they have had ) though how to even outline a plot for a short story eludes them. for a relative rare few, who know their language of choice and it's grammar at a high level, can bring dizzying accuracy to print, and some who express best find that boiling things down to their barest essentials of language while sacrificing nothing of human impact are my favorites ( Hemingway, London, Carver ). My father was one who had no talent for interesting writing.
