The effects of Bruen?  Interesting.

Inexpensive, nutritious, tasty, versatile, grows everywhere, and a wonderful way to use up all those bits of leftovers that accumulate in the fridge.

Potatoes... Embrace the noms.

I am just enough of a tomato steward to reach the most minor of goals. My plants tend to go wild as I am loathe to trim them back. In my heart, I feel they have earned their growth simply by surviving my care.

We get all the fresh tomatoes we care to eat, and every 1 1/2 weeks or so enough extra accumulates to make a pot of sauce.  Today is sauce day.

Three kinds of tomatoes (run through the food processor) are added to freshly picked onions and green peppers sauteed in butter.  Into this goes roast garlic (preserved in butter) and freshly picked basil, oregano, and parsley from the garden.

This will simmer all day till thick and rich, and then into the fridge with it.  One day next, lasagna will happen.

3500 (0.00001%) non-fatal Monkeypox cases in the US, and it's a political 'Emergency'. To put that in perspective, a typical year of the flu is around 40 million cases, with an average of 30,000 deaths.

Now, to be fair, is there *anyone* among us who didn't know this administration would try to wring a little more profit from another 'big virus' scare? They really can't help themselves, and besides, they have all that paraphernalia and advertising funding left over from the last virus scare.
