I'm thinking it's sodium and fluid retention. Thinking back, I've been eating out a lot and using prepared foods at home a bunch. That has to end. Today will be mostly liquids. Maybe the next few days as well.

OUCH |
Two slices of bread at 170mg per.
Two tablespoons of butter for 180 mg.
Two tablespoons of salsa on top of the eggs, 250 mg.
The protein drink I had earlier today, 175 mg.
945 mg of sodium for the day. My goal is 1000 or less. It sure does add up FAST!

Howdy- I have to fight sodium for other reasons ( Meneire's ), but it is a fight just the same. Rodger on the prepared foods being awash in sodium. My stuff now off the consumable list includes all manner of canned fish ( who would have guessed TUNA, without looking? I mean heck, it isn't Anchovies! ) Canned MEAT can be awful ; a tiny can of Vienna Sausage blows the day - well over 700mg sodium! Cheese piles up sodium fast ( even my former fav- low fat cheese sticks. Mozzarella? Forget about it! ) Salad dressing? Stick to plain olive oil and ( sulfide free) vinegar.Hold the olives. Canned tomato products . Thank goodness, Heinz has a low sodium ketchup. A diet mainstay, protein powder is too high soduim to consider - this stands against me in my diet to lose weight effort . It isn't easy.
Correct right down the line. It's amazing what has salt added, and how much. Hell, the protein drinks I'm having in lieu of food today count for 175mg per serving. A 'diet' soda? Sodium! Cereal? Sodium! Bread? Forget about it.
