Hey Baby!

 


Apple Dutch baby for breakfast this morning.  So easy to make!

Herself peeled and sliced an apple thin, which was sauteed in lots of butter in a hot cast iron pan.

While the oven heated to 450, into the blender went 4 eggs, 1/2 cup half&half, 1/2 cup of AP flour, 4 tablespoons of melted butter, a splash of vanilla, and a pinch of salt.  Blend a few moments.

As the oven hits 450 and the cast iron pan of apples looks tender, pour on the batter and immediately slide into the hot oven.  15 minutes, and no opening to check!

Pull from the oven, slide onto a large plate, and dust with powdered sugar as it deflates into a lovely apple-pancake treat.

I had a dribble of honey on mine.
