The 50ish-year-old boat trailer has been put back into working order.
- New lights and wiring
- New tires and wheels
- Recover the bunkers
- Repair and reload the winch
All that remains is to attach it to the truck and check light operation, and one last tweak on the wheel bolts. Then load the boat and strap it down.
I expect our next trip to the river (or lake) to be MUCH easier on our bodies. It will be a few weeks before that happens, as we seem to be booked up.
This has been a project, the trailer and the boat. Bought about 6 years ago when the deal came up, it was only some weeks back that I mated time, desire, and limited energy and dove into it.
I'll post the final pictures when the Jon-boat is loaded and ready to roll.
