Chicken and dumplings tonight, and pulled pork sammies tomorrow. Nom Nom.

One pack of chicken drumsticks at $1.29 a pound.

I loaded the family pack of drumsticks into the pressure cooker with plenty of water and set it for 30 minutes. At 30 minutes I pulled them out to cool off. Then I picked all the meat off and put the bones and fat and everything else right back into the pressure cooker with all that nice juice. Then one onion cut in half and all the vegetable scraps I've been saving in the freezer.

The pressure cooker got turned back on for another 30 minutes and then allowed to cool.

What we see here is what I got from a $6.50 family pack of chicken drumsticks. A generous amount of tasty meat to make a meal and about a gallon and a quarter of really good stock.

All that stuff left over in the pressure cooker after straining the stock out will go to the chickens who will turn it into eggs for us.

One dehydrator load of Roma tomatoes. Dehydrated, roasted, chopped and then powdered in a spice grinder. This will make about 3/4 of 1 pint.

Super Rich tomato flavor and a nice thickening action like tomato paste. A tablespoon in a pot of tomato soup completely changes it.
