Will the port pipples strike? What effect will that have? If all it means is some poor schmuck gets beat up by his wife because he couldn't find a GI Joe action figure (With real fake Jeep) for their horrible spoiled brat.... then I don't really care. If it means our medications dry up... I care.

We have two pint bottles in the cabinet. They are vanilla beans steeping in booze. While we spend a few months using one of them, the other gets happy, then we rotate them. They get new Madagascar vanilla beans at each rotation.

Today, I refilled the use jar for steeping. 10 new vanilla beans, sliced in half and slit, with the jar filled with Bacardi white rum.

I went rum this time, instead of Wodka, thinking it would be more in step with what we use vanilla for. The rum also brings it's own flavor to the party.

Within the last few weeks I have admitted I'm now a 'Poor' thanks to inflation. That means I have to devote our resources to needful things only and not wantful things. That means no good booze nor cigars for me. Now it will be homemade wine and my pipe. I am become my father.

How much coffee do you keep on hand?

Hints: (A) Amazon has a nice sale on Lavazza espresso beans right now, and (B) Coffee comes in by container ship.
