'Intelligently Frugal'. Definitely not cheap ass. Value conscious perhaps, but not cheap ass.
What we have ourselves here is the 1.5 quarts of white vinegar I just ran through our coffee maker. Twice. It does a fine job of removing hard water scale and cleaning out the inner bit and pieces.
So now it's 'used' vinegar to be thrown away.... Riiiight? Boys and girls, we all know what that answer will be, don't we?
On the Big A one can find dishwasher and washing machine cleaning agents for $10-$14 per serving. Dump it in and run the thing empty, and it sparkles clean, or so they say. But.... that is what this is, and I don't even have to run the things empty! About one pint dumped in mid-run and the dishwasher works better. The same and the washing machine is cleaned out while the clothes are super clean. I reserve this for when I have greasy dishes or stanky bedding to wash.
This 'used vinegar' is really three doses of dishwasher cleaner.
