Sleep advice?

 

I think sleeping better would be a good thing for me.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to make it happen?

I have and do use melatonin.  10mg usually.   Also tried booze of various types and abstinence as well.  Light dinners, heavy dinners, no dinners, no change.  A nice cuppa and even late evening coffee.

Nothing seems to change the pattern.  Broken sleep and I WILL be awake around 2 or 3 am, woken by some dream.  This morning that was 5am, for a change.

Ideas?

Depending on your nature, prayer works for me. Start with simple prayers of praise, and let that transition into prayers of intercession for others. Helps me relax by putting things in perspective. Worked real well for me starting a couple years into the biden mess worrying about stuff like ATF, etc.

If you figure out something that works consistently, let me know. I've been fighting insomnia since I was a kid.
