Weight is up sharply and breathing is rougher. That means fluid. Sodium, carbs, heat. I'll double up the med today and take it easy in the cool. I suspect it will be a rough week.
How did the Kindle battery go bad? Very slowly, then suddenly.
A few years back a Kindle appeared in the mail out of the blue. A gift from friend Brian. His old one as he'd bought a new one for himself. I know this one traveled the world in his pack. I treasured this Kindle, and it was and still is my daily companion. Most days I read for several hours.
The first week I had this 2015 edition of the Kindle, it held charge all week and still had 50% when I finally added it to my daily 'Charge Gadgets' routine. Since then it has seldom gone a day without being fully recharged.
The last two days it has announced deadness by 6pm.
Sigh. It's time, sadly. 10 years of constant use is a good run on a battery, right? Not really worth fixing it as it's not a user serviceable item. Okay, I could surely figure it out and do the job, but at what dollar and time cost? A comparable brand new model is less than $100, and for $165 I can haz the latest, greatest, biggest, fastusus, shiny new model with a compass in the stock and carbine action.
The new Kindle will be here today. I suspect this old one will be added to my pile of things I don't have the heart to dispose of.
