People comment on the large percentage of elderly folks manning the protests lately.
It shouldn't be a shocker to those who can do a little light math.
Think back to the protests of the 1970's. They were large and they were endless. Everything 'The Man' ever said, did, or considered was protested. It was a nationwide industry and occupied the minds of most college age people at the time. College age... so, 20 year olds.
Here we are in 2025, 55 years later. Think about all those dedicated protesters in the 1970's. What happened to them? They grew up and had lives. They BECAME the man. They grew old, in their 60s, 70s, and 80s now. They are retired, bored, and irrelevant to everyone but themselves. They mattered once. Not so much any longer.
The elderly protesters bouncing their walkers up and down sidewalks now are the same people who protested everything in their 20's, but now they have all day and nothing else to do. It doesn't even matter what they protest now, as long as they get to relive their heydays when they thought they had meaning.

The real difference now, they're getting paid. Everybody gotta eat.
