Reflections of an old man.

'Will', 'Might', 'Could', 'Believe', and all such words inserted into a sentence immediately turn it totally into a mental construct of the person saying it.  It's not real, it's not history, it didn't happen.  It 'could' become real.  It 'might' become real.  'Will' is just a word that means didn't happen yet.  Hell, if someone says 'The sun will come up tomorrow', they are articulating their hope because they really have no proof it will.

'Did', 'Completed', 'Achieved', 'Destroyed', these are all words pointing to history.  There is a chance they are real, or a chance they too are just an artifact of the speakers mind.  At least there is some possibility they represent reality.

The important thing is to know which words might represent reality, which words are only creative imagination, and to give each the weight it's due in your own thoughts.
