For Christmas Herself gave me a new KitchenAid mixer. She said my old one was 'making noises', which is silly but she means well. It's nice, and will last a lifetime.
Her cousin sent for Christmas a meat grinder shredder/slicer sausage stuffer thingie to go with that mixer, and now I'm having 'ideas'. Right now I can buy store brand sausage for cheaper than buying just the meat to make my own. On the other hand, I Can Make My Own.
I'm also wondering what summer veg I can run through this industrial powered shredder to dehydrate and preserve.
