School Daze memories..

So there I wuz....

New teacher, doing new teacher crap.  One of the first things PSU Workforce Ed told us was "I was too busy" will never be accepted as an excuse for course work not being done on time.  "Everyone is always too busy.  Just deal and get it done".  Then, of course, the PSU rep might or might not show up on time/day because she.... you got it... was too busy.

Anywho, one of the nightmare things we were required to do were 'teaching plans'.  Now, having a plan made sense for any teacher, but PSU wanted it done in their own special way which they would teach us.  Then, two weeks later we were doing it all wrong and had to redo everything.  Then, two weeks later.... you get the drift.

Right about then the school admin decided they ALSO wanted teaching plans handed in weekly, and they too said "Everything is wrong!  Dooo Eeet Agin!"

So, I came up with a plan.  Leaning on the bosses ego, I aksed him to pretty please lend me his godlike guidance on creating a 'lesson plan template'.  Obviously I was too stooopids to make this without his help, so he said yes.  I wrote it up and e-mailed it to him.  He marked it up and sent it back.  I fixed it to his guided pleasure, and sent it back.  This lasted three iterations and then he got tired of actually doing anything, so he declared it perfect (Thanks to him).

Lol.... I now had a lesson plan template that admin would NEVER FIND ANYTHING WRONG with since the boss helped write it.    As for PSU, I told their rep our school required me to use the admin template under pain of... well.... under pain of sumpin.  She had to go along, and commiserated on how put upon we little teachers were.

Headology, it's a wonderful thing.
