First time on the river this season. Spring run, VERY heavy current and real high water. Most of the rocks we normally have to avoid were frightfully hidden. We went anyway... dumb.
Near capsized when we got between a high current and a stuck anchor. Engine too small to even get us across the river. Trolling motor battery crapped out. Ugh.
That's why it's called 'shakedown'. Now we have our list.
