Between bugs, mold, and virus the garden is done for the year.  Coming into September is a factor as well.

I still count it a good year.  We ate well all Summer, and have at least a years worth of sauce and dried herbs put away.  Hell, just today we finished the last tomato sauce from last year!

I pulled the stakes and trellis, setting them aside for next season.  Then I put the Toyota in 4x4 and played 'marching back and forth' till it was all crunched up.

Then I called the good people at Freedom Firewood, and just like that our first cord appeared.  The next two cords are already arranged and paid for.  Seems a WAY better deal than $5.69 a gallon heating oil.
