Speaking of stocking the pantry....

Painful day. Cleaning out a pantry.  Anything I canned that's more than a year or so gone, or it's obvious no one wants... in the bin. Also any out-of-date anything else that needs to go,

Yes, I tossed the jars as well.  Look, I have a goodly supply and they are cheap and plentiful. In addition I am lazy, or perhaps at my physical limits and must choose the battles carefully.

Now to wash the roughly 4 dishwasher loads of canning jars I still have, and pack them to stay clean instead of tossing them on a shelf. 

From now on I'll only can what we use on a regular basis, what I personally want, or anything intended as gifts.
