The scent wafts through the house..... brats simmering in lager.... with an underlying wisp of onions in accompaniment. The smell is here because that is what is cooking for my dinner.

Soon, the hearty flavor of the sausage will join with the onions in a symphony of taste, sharing the palate with a spicy sauce, all held in the graceful embrace of a fresh potato roll.

Alongside the plate, a bottle of cold Yuengling lager.... perfect choice for this mans supper.

The house is quiet and the rich smell, the enfolding flavors, fill senses otherwise left empty.
