Fast and easy french bread pizza...

Okay, It's really 'Italian' bread pizza, as that is what the market had fresh.

Slice the loaf in half lengthwise, top from bottom. Slather with decent store bought marinara sauce. Dust with Italian seasoning, preferably heavy on the sweet basil. Sprinkle with granulated garlic and fresh ground pepper. Spread a few handfuls of shredded Mexican style taco cheese (Or Asiago and Colby Jack) across the loaves. Top with your choice of whatever veggies/meat / seafood is fresh and on hand.

Slide onto a preheated pizza stone in a 450 degree oven, and five minutes later flip it to broil so the cheese and toppings cook fast enough.

Easy peasy, and tasty enough to make people ask for more.

Variant : As posted, except slather with strong garlic butter instead of marinara, omit the extra garlic, and I use Monterey Jack cut 50/50 with a good cheddar.
Can be a bit anti-social, but disappears very quickly when everyone gets the first smell..... :-)

Hmm..... like that idea. Cheesey garlic bread.

When I make garlic bread, I split the butter with some very good olive oil, and it brings the toast to life.
