Awe crap.......

.
This morning, at o-dark thirty, two lights blew out as I tried to switch them on. FZZZttt Pop.

According to Halloween movie lore, I will now be surprised to find a masked evil maniacal killer hiding in the hall closet.

Damn it.... I hate days that start like that.

Question: What caliber for masked evil maniacal killers hiding in hall closets? Contrast and compare, and discuss amongst yourselves.

I like 12 gauge slugs. Proving that concealment is not cover once again.

At that range, .45 ACP should work nicely.

Twelve gauge Double-O alternating with slugs.

Pace Clint Smith, I'd go w/.45 ACP while running for the corner the 12 gauge, loaded w/Centurion "Buck 'n' Ball" rounds is stashed.

I've always believed that in this situation, as in many others, the best caliber is the one you have at hand, i.e. the .380 ACP LCP stashed in the change pocket of your tactical pants is much more effective than the .44 Magnum locked in the gun safe.

Just remember, whatever caliber you end up using, if you shoot it, and it falls down and appears to be dead, leave it alone. Assume it is dead, and get out of there.

He that goes over to poke the dead slasher/zombie/nightmare usually learns that it just needed a poke to get going again.
