Larry Correia asks a favor.....

Folks, I just pre-ordered my copy of Larry Correia's newest book, Monster Hunter, Alpha. I don't normally pre-order, since I'm an instant gratification kinda guy with reading. I think of what I want, I download it to my Nook, and I'm reading it a few minutes later. That being said...

I did it now because Larry asked a favor, which he explains on his blog.

Now, I'll never do more than suggest a course of action to my own friends and readers (Hi you two!), but I will point something out. Larry write books that cast gun owners and shooters in a good light, doing good things, as hero's sometimes, and as plain human others. That is not a bad thing, in my view.

So, give it a thought. His books can be pre-ordered from just about any seller you choose. I did mine from Amazon because it's conventient, and to support them in their battle against the thieving money hungry looters running California's state government.... but that is another post.

I have this philosophy.... All humans are faced with a choice.

They can become students of human nature, trying to recognize the good and bad within themselves... or they can choose to ignore human nature, and act simply on drives, desires, and instincts. The former is what sets mankind aside from animals, and the latter is to act as an animal.

Making the first choice is harder, more complicated, and creates a difficult path to follow... for it's the basis of knowing right from wrong. There are those who study human nature, and themselves, and actively try to better themselves and do what is right. There are others... people who study human nature, note the flaws inherent to the unthinking herd, and use them as a means to control.

There is no danger greater than the refusal to see, and to think. Doing so leaves one a pawn to anyone awake, aware, and driven to power over others.
