Verizon does not cover Puerto Rico

Verizon does not cover Puerto Rico, no matter WHAT their online map and representatives say. Note to self..... Verizon lies.

And on Wednesday, google release the download to phone feature for google maps which would have allowed you to download all of Puerto Rico to your android phone to find your way around without having a data connection :(

Maybe you can pull the update over wifi and get your maps to make the rest of your trip easier.

AT&T is the company that has PR locked in. When I worked for Sprint, we got a number of contracts to build various stuff in PR. But...we had to use AT&T circuits.

Your wifi, if you have it, should work, though.

We are surviving. We have a Garmin GPS we brought with us. It serves, although it hasn't missed a single one way alley on this side of the island :-)

Google maps download... ALL of it? YES!!
