Aristo! Aristo! A la lanterne!

Have been giving some thought to the Colorado shooting, just as many others have. My own thoughts are not centered around the murderer... as I'm fairly certain he was a random psychopath. My thoughts are also not on the blood dancers who even now move on their path of using dead bodies as vehicle towards their own vision of grey society.

No... I'm thinking what would I have done had I been in that theater.

I would have shot back, and it's likely I would have hit my target, and people would have perhaps lived because of it. Yes, my liberal friends, I do carry a weapon most of the time. It's accurate, powerful, and equipped for shooting in exactly the low light conditions found in the theater. I have, my friends, been armed almost every moment you have spent time with me. Likely you didn't know, nor should it have made the least difference. It changes nothing in or about me, but is a part of who and what I am.

No one will ever know what would have happened had there been one... two.... or even three people in that audience armed for self defense. That path wasn't taken, and it's a past that never happened.

I know of no way to detect and stop every psychopath out there, no matter how draconian the measures. There is not a functioning society on earth that has found a way to deal with them..... short of being prepared for when they act, the moment they act, with immediate measures.
