Fundamentals....

Late model Hyundai.

Poor braking.

Expensive aftermarket slotted and drilled 'high performance' rotors, ceramic pads.

But...... not one bit of it matters if the mountings for the floating calipers are locked up from lack of care and lubrication.

Spend hundreds.... but ignore the places that 5 cents worth of the proper grease would have solved it all.

FUNDAMENTALS.   They are everything.

Ah, floating calipers..... Found myself learning a lesson about those on one of my early motorbikes (30+ years ago). Renovated the calipers, and found that I had no brake component grease - at 5pm on a good-weather holiday weekend, 3 days before anywhere opened for business again...
Found a tub of Copper grease in the garage, thinks "this'll do....."
In fairness, it did "do"... until 3 weeks later when every rubber seal & O-ring on the sliding caliper dissolved into black goop....
Lesson learned.....
