That's an interesting term read on Roberta's blog. She always manages some fascinating phraseology.
It DOES bring a segment of the population to mind, though, does it not? Not anti-vaxers per se, but a fringe on the fringe. Now, I can't seem to find any stories of people who actually think that, but it does make for a fun mental picture. It also gives 'The Media' something to blather about. Hell, my own personal conspiracy theory is that 'The Media' flat-out invents most stories of that nature, just to have word fodder.
Now, speaking of the Covid vaccines, I'm of two minds myself. Being an instructor, I'll likely take it the first time my doc offers it. On the flip side though, I do know a surprising number of medical peoples who are looking side eye at a new miracle vaccine(s) with such great response rates.
This will be a case where I will rely on the experts, I trust. Now, to pick myself a nice pack of experts to listen to. I'm think two from column A and three from column B.
