End of Summer....

While out and around, I stopped at The Corn Wagon.  One $15 bag of huge Roma tomatoes later, it was time to be home.

A dehydrator load of halves, which will take a day or two to fully dry.  There might be enough to do another load after that.  These will be destined for stews and chili over the winter.

Also a pot full of summer simmering on the stove.  I'll process this into pint jars once it's cooked down and thickened.  Just plain tomato sauce with nothing added but a smidge of citric acid for preservation.   This will be a lovely addition to dishes over the winter.
