Drawing from concealed

Da Sherriff speaks regarding practicing the draw of a concealed weapon.... from that concealment.

The piece is irritatingly short, as many on-line articles are today, but he makes his point.

I practice like this on occasion, and it tends to reveal problems a person never considered.  Big problems that could change the outcome of a serious event.

It's also embarrassing as hell, so harden up that skin if anyone will be around watching.  I suggest beginning in the home, NO AMMO IN THE ROOM, and just learn to safely retrieve the weapon from it's holster while sitting down, standing in various directions, and anything else you conjure up from your life experience. This alone is a hell of an eye-opener.

At the range, I has gone so far as dragging a picnic table down into a pistol bay, and practicing draw fire from a bench seat..... back to the target.

The first time, I was DAMN glad no one was around....

Imagine an old fat man having a seizure, while trying to mug a picnic table and fall on his face, all at the same time.
