What if......

Putting this thought on home turf, where a distinct lack of readers means less chance of raising anyone's ire.

What if.... just if.... we had ourselves a 'rigged' election.  When I use those words, it seems everyone assumes I meant rigged by a party, for that party. But.... what if... (and here's how *I* mean rigged) the rigging was not to put one party above another, but to remove one single person.

What if the parties were blood brothers under the surface, and only maintained their animosities as a sop to the people who are generally too lazy to think for themselves. Entertainment, if you will, since what better entertainment for the masses than hate?

What if there was so little difference between the goals of the two parties, in the end they seem more two sides of a coin?  

Yeah yeah.... I know.  I said the magic words: "What If?"    That lets me stray from facts to fiction.  That lets me initiate thoughts in heads, and play with story lines, and tell folks not to overheat their senses of righteousness and fact-ousness and maybe some ousness's.
