While we were working our tables at the gunshow this weekend, we ran into a friend and ex-neighbor.
Long story short, he's between gigs and hanging in the area for a bit. A bit of work for cash would not be unwelcome, and he's 10x the wood craftsman I am.... AND we have this rickety deck that needed rebuilt.
Abrakazam, a handshake later he's making money and we are getting a safe deck (Hear that Dave? No more falling through our deck!).
While he's at it, I think a new patio table may happen as well. If'en I just fix that hot tub again, and pressure wash the area, we'll be set for a fine summer of relaxing!
Update: A built in bench happened, as well. I have a habit of buying just a bit more lumber than the plan calls for. This time, it was just enough to build in a bench!
