Rifle: Savage 93R17 in a minimalist Boyd stock, with a Vortex 6x24x50 FFP scope. Wearing a Harris bipod, and there's a suppressor in its future.
Purpose: Target shooting and woodchucks.
Yeah, I know. Like bolting the Hubble to a walking stick. I am without the caring. I hope to be shooting small targets out to 200 yards, and that telescope is the key to doing it.
I am VERY impressed with Vortex's first focal plane Diamondback scope. It's bright, sharp, and simply inviting me to shoot well. I hope the rifle and I can live up to it.
