I guess what bothers me most is being lied to, especially when it's blatant lies right in my face.  It's the height of disrespect.

Creepy Unca Joe was given a canned question on the new Georgia election laws, and staged his sad/hurt/disappointed/outraged act fairly well for a dementia sufferer.  Now even Fox News is parroting the line.

When I watched it, I went and looked it up.  I read the law for myself.  Yeah.... you heard that right..... I READ IT FOR MYSELF.  (Gasp... wheeze..... Butbutbut...... YOU CAN'T DO THAT!)

Yes I can.  Watch me do it.

The law is written clearly enough that I have to believe those assholes are doing the 'Lie in your face' game at full blast.  It's real simple.... *political parties* may not give things to people at voting polls, including food and beverage.  Period, full stop. Only *parties* are prohibited.

Poll workers can provide food and drink.  Voters can give each other food and drink.   Voters can tailgate the blasted event if they want. It's only *political parties* that are not allowed to give voters stuff at the polling place.

This simple law has been in place where I live since I began voting (mumble mumble) years ago.  

This has been conflated with 'voters not allowed to drink or eat while waiting in line', which is a complete fabrication.  A lie.  A falsehood, Made up.  Fake.  Bullshit.  Total crap. You know..... a politician making sounds.

I get so tired of being lied to.  Yes, I know... it's the normal situation and has been for a long time.  That doesn't make it right, or easier to swallow.

I guess what REALLY bothers me is how few other people care. The last few vestiges of belief in that rare notion.... decent human nature.... are falling away.
