There I wuz....
In a former lifetime, trying to pay a telephone bill. There was no place and no way to make that payment except mailing in a check, and I was whining about that to a phone company rep. The rep innocently said "Why are you upset now? The phone was disconnected two weeks ago!"
Silence on my part for a moment, and then I said "That's interesting. If I've been without your service for two weeks and never even noticed, then why am I paying for the service in the first place?" (This was the time period when the universe was switching from landlines to cell phones).
Rep: "Hammina hammina hammina".
This brings me to today. I wondered why I hadn't read postings by a few people I know, so I looked them up. Nice. Facebook offered me the choice of 'friending' them. Humph... I never knew I'd been UN-friended by them.
Did I 'Re-friend' them? No, why should I? I never really noticed they were gone from my social media life, so why bother? Apparently, it really IS a case of mind over matter. I don't mind because they don't matter.
