It's very seldom I really enjoy flavored spirits.
I'm not talking about liqueurs, brandies, etc, Some of those I like very much, but in simple fashions. No, I speak of flavored whisky, vodka, gin, rum, and things of that ilk. In fact, none of the store bought stuff appeals at all. It's fine for cooking, but not for sipping.
Except, and you knew that was coming, what we have here. Jalapeno Tequila and Whisky cherry bounce. Here is a jar of each, ready to go into the cabinet for a few months of steepage.
We discovered the Jalapeno Tequila at a bar in Jim Thorpe, and it makes a KICK ASS mixed drink. The cherry bounce is straight up George Washington recipe. Excellent sipping, and I can see why he had it made by the carboy.
