Hey MAAN!  Check out me Balls!
Turkey balls that is.  I made turkey croquettes for dinner last night.

I have in mind making a bottle of spiced Bourbon.  Cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, vanilla, mere dash of sugar.    I'm thinking ahead to Christmas morning coffee.

Hungarian Goulash started, to simmer the rest of the day. In my cast iron Dutch oven...
Bacon rendered for fat, and chunks of tough beef seared in it and then set aside.  Onions, celery, and carrots, chunked and sauteed. A ramakin of spices... Paprika, black pepper, ground Caraway seeds, and salt.... all this got toasted with the veggies.  Tomato paste with a dash of sugar, stirred in and toasted.  Stir stir scrape scrape.  Now a quart of homemade chicken stock.  Stir scrape stir scrape.  Back in with the beef and bacon chunks.  Stir stir and heat on high till it's bubbling good.  Turn heat to medium low and let it simmer the rest of the day. I'll stir it once in a while, add crushed garlic, and add some stock if it reduces too much.

Our home smells... wonderful.

Now, what to serve it on?
